Easter DIY: The Very Last Minute

papier-mache easter eggs

These are some great options for those of you needing to whip up an Easter soiree at the (very) last minute. Also check out my Easter finds from last week.

Above, you can learn to make colorful papier-mache eggs with Not Martha. These would be a great activity if you'll have kids at your place tomorrow.
Below, it's not DIY, but you can purchase some truly gorgeous wax-resist made eggs at Pysanky Panky. Or you can buy your own Starter Kit there to make your own. Next year, darlings, next year.

Above, learn tips for planting wheat grass with your kids (or for yourself as some fantastic spring decor on your mantel or in other vignettes) with Design Mom.
Below, make colorful dyed eggs using chapstick with Oh Joy!. I can see this getting really fun if you're careful where the chapstick goes. Maybe you can draw pictures on them!

Above, if you try nothing else, whip up these egg-shaped cakes with Delicious Days using actual eggs... Come to think of it, you could use the egg inside the shell to make your cake batter.
Below, and finally... you should learn how to make these lovely panorama egg vases with Design*Sponge as a cute adult craft if your guests are the type. Scroll a good bit down for the how-to. You might want to prepare the shells ahead of time by blowing out the egg and cutting the front off. Gather a variety of tiny blooms, candy, and Easter or springtime trinkets to fill your vase.
